The Australian Government provided assistance to Australians affected by the disasters below:

• 14 February 2008 Mackay and Central Queensland flooding. The closing date for claims for the 14 February Mackay Floods was 15 August 2008.
• 13 January 2008 Queensland Storms and Floods. The closing date for claims for the 13 January 2008 Queensland Storms and Floods was 23 July 2008.

Queensland Storms and Floods 13 January 2008:

The Australian Government has approved further financial assistance to help small businesses and farmers through the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority (QRAA). For more information on natural disaster relief assistance for small businesses contact 1800 623 946.
